Ian Mulvany

Since joining BMJ Group in 2020 during the pandemic, Ian has led a sweeping digital transformation, strengthening the organisation’s infrastructure, accelerating its adoption of cloud-based platforms, and embedding AI and automation to improve delivery. Ian has a long track record of driving innovation in research technology. At SAGE Publishing, he founded SAGE Ocean, an incubator advancing new methods for social science research using big data. Earlier roles include Head of Technology at eLife Sciences, Head of Product at Mendeley, and Product Manager at Nature Publishing Group. He has also consistently advocated for open science, serving on the board of Dryad and the editorial board of the Journal of Open Research Software V体育2025版.
A recognised thought leader on digital transformation and AI in publishing, Ian has spoken at The London Book Fair, ALPSP, STM Week, and the International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers (STM), as well as in podcasts and webinars on the future of open research, data, and AI adoption.

Professor Yu-Chuan Jack Li is a researcher of artificial intelligence in medicine and medical informatics, and a practising dermatologist. He is currently Dean and distinguished professor at the College of Medical Science and Technology, Taipei Medical University and the Chief of Dermatology at the Centre for Cosmetic and Laser, Paipei Municipal Wanfang Hospital V体育安卓版. Professor Li has also served as President of the Asia-Pacific Association for Medical Informatics (APAMI), and President-elect of International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA).

Dr Lucy Frith is professor of bioethics and health research, in the Centre for Social Ethics and Policy at the University of Manchester V体育平台登录. She is interested in the ethical issues raised by reproductive technologies, IVF, gamete (egg and sperm) and embryo donation, fertility preservation and general ethical issues concerning women’s health, reproduction and pregnancy.
