So excited that One Medical has launched dedicated perimenopause and menopause visits. This initiative addresses a significant gap in our healthcare system VSports最新版本. While approximately over 3 million women enter perimenopause or menopause annually in the U. S. , specialized training isn't standard in primary care, leaving many providers unprepared and patients unsupported during this transition. What excites me most about this program is how it aligns with our value-based care model. By investing in training for hundreds of our clinicians and creating structured visit types with longer appointments, we're seeing measurable improvements in care delivery: 75% of patients who participated in our early rollout were started on treatment plans after just one visit This is exactly how we transform healthcare—by identifying gaps, designing human-centered solutions, and measuring outcomes. I'm incredibly grateful to all the teams who made this possible. Learn more: https://lnkd. in/gi5Se6bV #ValueBasedCare #HealthcareTransformation #ClinicalExcellence . 要查看或添加评论 V体育平台登录,请登录 .

🌸 Tomorrow is World Menopause Day! And thank you RPS for recognising that. The 🐘elephant-in-the-room question I often get asked is: “Anthony, why did you choose to become a British Menopause Society Menopause Specialist, you’re a pharmacist ?” “Isn’t it a bit unusual?” “Why do you care …….you’re a man?” (And yes… sometimes they add, “You’re so good looking” ……okay, that one might be me 😅) The answer is simple. I have THREE core beliefs: (3rd one is most important) 1️⃣ Men and women are equal. Care, policy, and opportunity should reflect that. Women’s health remains under-discussed, under-diagnosed, and — worst of all — too often exploited through “menowashing” and upsold services that should be free or available on the NHS. 2️⃣ Pharmacists can do so much more. Our profession is evolving, and I hope more organisations (and pharmacists themselves) begin to truly recognise the impact we can have on women’s health and beyond. 3️⃣ (Most importantly…) Manchester United are still the best team in the world — we’re just going through a rough patch! ⚽️ So this World Menopause Day, I have one simple ask: 👉 Talk to each other. 👉 Be confident to speak about your symptoms. 👉 And be compassionate enough to listen when someone else shares theirs. If you have 5 minutes, come see our talk on Pharmacists in Menopause at this year’s Clinical Pharmacy Congress North. If nothing else, you’ll leave with the confidence and tools to start your own NHS menopause clinic. With the support of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and British Menopause Pharmacy Society, I’m determined to make menopause care free, safe, and accessible for everyone. #WorldMenopauseDay #PharmacistLedCare #WomensHealth #NHS #ClinicalEntrepreneur #MenopauseMatters Tomorrow is #WorldMenopauseDay — a moment to spotlight the vital role pharmacists play in transforming menopause care. Incredibly excited to share this new finding: a matched claims data set from Blue Shield of CA confirmed a 13% reduction in total cost of care for women in midlife for those using Midi Health! For anyone in the healthcare space, we know that a cost reduction in care in the double digits is considered HIGHLY significant. Quality care with savings to patients and the system? A winning combo for women's health. 13%! That's the total cost of care reduction our partners at Blue Shield of California saw with Midi patients vs. a comparison group. Instead of seeing multiple specialists and using trial-and-error treatments (cha-ching, cha-ching), Midi patients meet with clinicians trained to not only provide expert and personalized menopause care, but address their holistic health needs. Consolidated, specialized care with real results means less searching (and spending) for answers. Midi may already be in-network with your company health plan. As doctor working in menopause care I’ve become increasingly concerned about the amount of misinformation circulating online and the complications with which women present to me in my clinic. In the UK, societies and colleges publish guidelines built on evidence and debate. But in Germany, there’s still a vacuum of structured menopause education for doctors. Short CPD sessions exist, but few cover the depth needed for proper history taking, risk assessment, and prescribing. This gap leaves room for “influencers” and non-medical voices to step in, often without evidence of safety. Yes, women’s health has long been under-researched. But that doesn’t mean we should fill the void with ideas that simply sound good. The recent demonisation of the contraceptive pill is a worrying example. Complex, life-changing issues reduced to clickbait. Every woman deserves nuanced, evidence-based care, discussed with a qualified professional. We all share responsibility to communicate clearly, uphold science, and protect women from harm. #MenopauseCare #WomensHealth #EvidenceBasedMedicine #MedicalEthics 要查看或添加评论,请登录
